6 Essential Elements When Choosing WHS Software Management System

First, an occupational health and management software should have information screens that allow information to be tracked for crucial WHS functions, such as affected persons, Return-to-work, actions and escalation.

Second, it should have a range of reporting tools available, and allows for creation of graphs that is readable and caters for your needs. For example, the ability to automatically calculate lost time injury reports is a valuable tool.

Third, it has email alert function, when specific situations arise you have the ability to define its status in order to trigger a response to higher level management. Such functions could ensure that unactioned issues would not jeopardize your organization and create a safety breach.

Our fourth element, Security, is an important and essential feature which allows you to limit the information that a specific user could see. For example, an area manager could only gain access to files that are of particular concern to their area. Also, with web browser add-ons, employees can record incidents while they are working at home.

Fifth, WHS software should have document management features which enable the attachment of documents to any record. You should easily be able to attach your incident claims, accident reviews and medical checks.

Last but not least, an occupational health and safety management tool should have the ability for the user to customise its settings as there are quite a number of different methodologies available across different industries. With all these features in mind, you should be able to identify the best WHS software that is available on the market which suits the best for your organisation and particular industry.
